The State Service of Education Quality of Ukraine presented EvaluEd system
“A year ago, we set a goal to implement the EvaluEd information and analytical system by 2025. Today, this system has been tested during teachers` certification and tested in schools for self-assessment. We have already received confirmation of its practicality from the educational community. After all, EvaluEd is not about educational statistics, but about the real state of educational institutions,” said Ruslan GURAK, Head of the State Service of Education Quality of Ukraine.
Radek MATULA, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, Serhii KOLEBOSHYN, Member of Parliament of Ukraine and Ondřej ANDRYS, Deputy Chief School Inspector of the Czech School Inspectorate, delivered welcoming remarks.
“Thanks to EvaluEd, the procedures for institutional audits (external evaluations), self-assessment of educational institutions and certification of teachers will soon be improved” reported Ivan Yuriichuk, Deputy Head of the Service.
The system is constantly available online and is open not only for analysis but also for data updating by verified users. Currently, a third of schools are registered in the system, and data is constantly being updated.
EvaluEd digitalizes the process of conducting an institutional audit at a school. Thanks to a specially designed module, both experts and the school staff will be able to enter obtained data, analyze it, and prepare conclusions and recommendations. Surveys of students, parents, teachers, will also be conducted through the system, significantly saving time and ensuring objectivity.
A module for simple and quick self-assessment of the school will be available on the EvaluEd platform – school heads will be able to:
- determine the quality of management and educational processes;
- track the dynamics of each educational aspect;
- evaluate the effectiveness of certain management decisions.
In addition, based on the results of the self-assessment, school managers will be able to compare their institutions with others, having access to generalized data both across the country.
EvaluEd will become a unique database on the quality of educational activities of schools, a source of information for managers at various levels, researchers, and other stakeholders.
